About CMS

The Center for Metagenomic Sequence analysis (CMS) was established in 2006 by support from Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation to Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Uppsala University. The purpose is to provide the scientific community with the new tools in DNA sequencing. The center provides access to two  massive sequencing platforms, the Genome Sequencer FLX from Roche and the SOLiD platform from Applied Biosystems.

Users of the platform are expected to cover reagents costs. Partial funding for projects can be obtained through the annual CMS call for proposal.
